INTRODUCTION TO OUR FIRST RELATIONSHIP GAME – WHO ARE YOU ? – This game will be played at our meet ups
This game is all about identifying your main personality traits
- Give each player a piece of paper and a pen
- There are three main categories for the cards – choose which categories you want to play with a) WORK b) SELF c) RELATIONSHIPS
- You can choose all three if you wish – the main consideration is that we all behave differently in different situations
- PLAYING WITH ONE CATEGORY – Players write each category on the top of their paper
- The cards are shuffled and placed in a pile – QUESTION SIDE UP
- Write on your paper the big 5 traits
- OPENNESS TO EXPERIENCE
- CONSCIENTIOUSNESS
- EXTRAVERSION
- AGREEABLENESS
- NEUROTICISM
IF YOU ARE PLAYING WITH ALL THE CATEGORIES – CHOOSING YOUR ANSWERS
- Go around the group of players – each player drawing the top card from the pile
- MAKE SURE NO ONE CAN SEE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CARD
- READ THE QUESTION ALOUD
- DIGUSE everyone’s answer and the reason they have chosen it
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR EACH PLAYER TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ON THE CARD HONESTLY AND TALK ABOUT WHY THEY HAVE CHOSEN THEIR ANSWER – this is part of the process of learning about their personality
Once everyone has answered the question on the card and given the reason for their answer – YOU CAN NOW TURN THE CARD OVER – to see what TRAIT it belongs to (SEE PAGE 13 OF THE GAME BOOKLET)
Write down the letter A, B, OR C next to the trait on your paper
UNDERSTANDING YOUR SCORE
Play all the cards in the pile
in most cases you will notice that you have answered more of one letter ( A, B, OR C) than the other letters – therefore by looking at the 5 key traits you will see which traits are the most dominant in your personality
Turn to the relevant section in the game booklet to see what your scores mean for that particular trait
IF YOU FIND THAT YOU HAVE AN EQUAL SCORE – of a, b, or c’s for some of the traits this means that means that you switch personality styles in different situations
CAN YOU OFFER A CAR SHARE TO HELP PEOPLE GET TO THE MEET UP
If you are able to do this please send us details such as the number of people you can pick up and your location – It might be more convenient if you can state a time and location where people should go to get a car share to the meet up – People interested in a car share should message you on the meet up.com site to arrange details or message us to pass this on
ITS VERY IMPORTANT – that if any reason you are unable to pick people up then you must have another person who can get to the arranged pick up point to either take people to the meet up or let people know pick up will not be available
START YOUR OWN MEET UP GROUP
IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE ELSE WHO LIVES TOO FAR AWAY TO COME TO THE POOLE MEET UP MEETINGS – then they can start their own meet up meetings in their local area
These groups will be affiliated to the Poole group therefore we will pass on details of any games we introduce plus all their members will be able to sign up for our monthly group newsletter
In addition to this new meet up groups can have space in this newsletter for a listing to advertise their meet ups
